Abstract

The College CPD program (formerly known as the MOPS program) was revised following an Annual General Meeting resolution in 2002 calling for an overhaul of the program. This presentation describes the early development of the MOPS program, the circumstances that led to the AGM resolution, and the process of review that took place as a result of the AGM decision. The presentation describes the new revised CPD program and how it can facilitate professional development for College members. The future of continuing professional development is examined. Suggestions are made about the direction of the College CPD program and how it can respond to the changing landscape of professional development in its new place within the College Board of Education.
