Abstract
We summarise the theory of polarised neutron reflectivity and describe the PADA reflectometer at the Orphée reactor at Saclay France. We then discuss some experimental difficulties and highlight how this apparatus can be applied to the study of thin magnetic films. Finally, we give an example of a recent experiment on Au/Co/Au trilayers.
