Abstract
To show the rich scale of possibilities of the classical polarization analysis we first give a short overview of measuring techniques. Then we compare some known instruments and give some details for the use of classical polarization analysis in a multidetector instrument. Some examples of measurements already performed are discussed such as partial structure factors with separation of elastic coherent and incoherent scattering, diffraction patterns with elastic antiferromagnetic peaks and finally some examples of quasielastic and inelastic measurements with polarization analysis for separation of coherent, incoherent and magnetic scattering.
