Abstract
Room temperature powder neutron diffractions have been performed to investigate the structure of (AgI)0.8– (NaPO3)0.2 and (AgI)0.7–(NaPO3)0.3 composites consisting of AgI crystalline precipitated in a glassy NaPO3 network. Unlike (AgI)0.8–(NaPO3)0.2 and most silver-based superionic materials, (AgI)0.7–(NaPO3)0.3 contains Ag5IP2O7 instead of βAgI and less γAgI. The diffuse background levels of both composites are similar and largely dominated by NaPO3 amorphous phase.
