Abstract
A new type of a neutron velocity selector (nvs) is described, aiming at low costs and very low γ-ray production. The first point was realized by using commercially available components, the second point was solved by using a new alloy containing Li6 as absorbing material for the rotor. The nvs was granted a letters patent of the FRG with the number 19904562.
