11 Ivnev went to school with Pavel Pavlov in the Corps of Pages. Pavlov's father bought a library on Semenovskaya Street, Petrograd which belonged to the family of the poet Vladimir Piast. There was a three-roomed flat at the library. In one of the rooms lived a female relative of the Pavlovs. When she left, the Pavlovs invited Ivnev to stay there.
