Nora Beloff's objections to our Balkan coverage (Index 9/1992), published by us under the title 'Former Yugoslavia: setting the record straight' (Index 1/1993 p31), has roused greater controversy than the original. We publish below a number of letters received by the editor in response to Ms Beloff's comment. All are from journalists and writers active in the Balkan arena
