Abstract
Irena Maryniak meets the winner of the 1992 Polish PEN Club award for journalism. She writes for the Warsaw-based daily Gazeta Wyborcza and has a particular interest in social psychology, hence her preoccupation with social changes in Poland since the heady days of Solidarity in the early 1980s.
