Abstract
A poet and essayist, Jerzy Narbutt has for many years contributed to the Catholic press in Poland. Like many of his colleagues (of whom Ficowski and Woroszylski also appear in this issue) he has been completely banned since 1976, when he signed a protest against changes in the Polish Constitution.
