Abstract
Below we reproduce an extract from Seven Letters from Prague, a book by an anonymous Czech author who, in this passage, suggests how people in the West can help persecuted and silenced intellectuals in Czechoslovakia and elsewhere. The book has recently been published in Austria (Styria Verlag, Graz) and Italy. An English edition is in preparation.
