Abstract
The following is the text of a letter recently published in the Paraguayan monthly magazine Diilogo by the Paraguayan author, Rub6n Bareiro Saguier. Saguier was arrested in Paraguay in October 1972 and on the 10 November was deported to Buenos Aires for alleged ‘leftist activities’ (see INDEX Index 1/1973, p.vi). In this letter Saguier explains the background to his arrest and sets out his own version of events.
