Abstract
This paper discusses the implementation of the DWP City Strategy initiative in a devolved setting. To do this it draws on the experience of the three Scottish Pathfinders — Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow — using their early experience of implementation to identify issues that emerge in relation to some key aspects of the City Strategy approach. The views expressed are those of the Authors and are informed by our working with the Scottish Pathfinders as DWP appointed Area Evaluation Advisors. Views are based on Pathfinder performance to Spring 2008; therefore, since production of this paper, Pathfinder activities have further developed and evolved.
