The essence of it may be seen in the State Plan of the Development of the National Economy. There are close links between physical and economic planning. The basic Physical Planning Act No. 84/1958 states in Sec. I, that physical planning should be a permanent activity to provide for plans of the organisation and development of a given territory—in accordance with the tasks and intentions of economic planning.
