Abstract
The show documents her struggle within photography, involved as she has been with various group and individual practices (for example with Photography Workshop, with Camerawork, with the Polysnappers, with the Hackney Flashers Collective, and with Terry Dennett), and her desire to use photography as a social and political tool. Whilst in many places her work is didactic, in others it is engagingly witty, or poetic, seeking to ask questions rather than provide statements and answers. (Press Release, 1985)
