Stenosis of the nostril is a very rare deformity. It may be either congenital or acquired, arising as a result of loss of the vestibular lining. The causes of the acquired form include (1) infections, (2) trauma, and (3) iatrogenic, after excision or electrocoagulation of tumors, chemical cauterization, prolonged nasal packing under tension, and other procedures that damage the vestibular lining.
