Abstract
In a retrospective study, the monthly distribution of patch tests applied to 6,759 patients over a 5-year period was recorded. Significantly lower patch-test reactivity was seen in the months of June, July, and August than in December, January, and February. One thousand nine hundred and forty-one of the 6,759 patients tested had positive patch tests. The distribution of positive patch tests varied from a low of 82 of 368 (22%) tests applied in July compared with a high of 203 of 632 (32%) tests applied in February.
