Abstract
After 35 years working as a metal spinner, a 49-year-old man developed a severe dermatitis. The dermatitis was traced to an allergy to an antioxidant, phenylalpha-naphthylamine, contained in the industrial grease that he handled. It was possible to substitute the offending grease with an alternative that was free of the allergen.
