Abstract
Patch testing confirmed an epoxy resin allergy in a bomb factory worker who also developed an irritant reaction to tape in patch testing. Irritant reactions to tape are common, resolved quickly, rarely severe, and poorly studied. They usually improve without therapy. Allergic reactions are common with the older rubber or rosin-based adhesive tapes and less common with the newer acrylate-based adhesive tapes.
