Abstract
The International Headache Society (IHS) will sponsor a 12-month International Fellowship in Childhood and Adolescence Headache (US$50.000).
Guidelines
A. Eligibility
Applicant with medical or scientific degree.
Should have shown interest in academic pursuits related to headache, by previous publication, participation in research, etc.
B. Application
Submit
Detailed description of research protocol including 1. background, 2. specific aims, 3. rationale, 4. methodology (size of sample, ways of recruitment, instruments, data analysis, time of carrying out), not exceeding three typed pages. (Do not send tapes, disks or other appendix materials.)
Curriculum vitae (personal data, qualifications and commitment, full bibliography, training experiences) of the applicant and any collaborator with an important role in the project.
Letter of support from the Head of the sponsoring institution, clinic or department.
Letter of recommendation.
Sponsoring institution, clinic or programme under the auspices of a member of IHS of good standing, or a similar facility, which is known to the IHS and considered by the committee as suitable for training. Sponsoring entities should have adequate clinical research facilities.
C. Grant
The stipend for 12 months will be US$50 000.
The fellowship will cover living expenses.
Supplementation from other sources is encouraged.
D. Deadline
Deadline for receiving applications is 31 May 2001.
E. Publication
Paper or papers based on the work done during the Fellowship should be written and submitted to Cephalalgia within 6 months of termination of Fellowship.
