We wish to add our voices to the several requests already published, for the jettisoning of wrap-around advertising with our Journal. The medium is the message, as a wise man said; and ‘Prescribe Drug X – that about wraps it up’ is not a message we wish our College to endorse, nor even appear to endorse. It is no wonder a drug company is prepared to pay so much, to privilege drug prescribing over all other aspects of psychiatry. Please finally heed your colleagues' wishes in this matter, and bring this embarrassment to an end.
