Abstract
Vaccination Protocol Survey
Dr Steven Thompson, director of the Wellness Clinic Initiative at Purdue University recently reported on the results of a survey on vaccination protocols in the 32 veterinary schools in North America and Canada, and also the results of a similary survey of veterinary practices in Ohio conducted by the Ohio VMA (Trends Magazine 1998; 14, 37–41).

Annual vaccination required by state law
The table above summarizes the surveys' findings relating to feline vaccinations. This survey complements a similar one published in 1996 in JAVMA. One notable difference in the results of the current survey, is that 10/22 US veterinary schools listed now use triennial rather than annual booster vaccination protocols for FVRCP in adults. A further two schools allow triennial vaccination at owner/clinican discretion.
