Abstract
Regionalization is occurring across the country in an attempt to improve accessibility and services to populations with increased expectations and significant budget pressures. A successful reorganization requires strong and effective leadership, equipped with an array of knowledge, skills and abilities known as competencies. The model of leadership competencies presented in this article will become an essential tool for organizations in their pursuit of leaders to implement and drive successful change. This leadership competency model, discussed within a framework of change management process, will ensure that essential steps of change are followed and provide organizations with a blueprint for success.
