Abstract
Soft tissue chondromas are uncommon tumours but when they do occur the hands and the feet are a common site (Lichtenstein, 1964; Dahlin, 1974; Chung, 1978).
We have experience in the management of two cases each of whom had a chondromatous lesion in the index finger of the left hand which exhibited features that could have been considered sinister to those unfamiliar with this lesion and could lead to over treatment.
